Catigbian celebrates 108th CSC anniversary

Tagbilaran City (4 October 2008) -- Different activities highlighted the significance of Republic Service - Kabalikat ng Bayan sa Panahon ng Paghamon as Catigbian under Mayor Roberto Salinas celebrated the 108th Civil Service Commission (CSC) Anniversary.
The activities were also pursuant to the CSC MC No. 8. Series of 2008, Mayor Salinas shared.
Activities that underscored the month-long celebration include a Tree Planting Activity conducted and participated by the Municipal Officials, casual and regular employees including Women's Organizations, Senior Citizen Presidents and Day Care Workers from the town's 22 barangays.
Consistent with its dream of becoming Bohol's fruit capital, the employees planted 270 fruit bearing trees near the town's material recovery facility in Haguilanan.
To streamline government operations for better and more quality service, Catigbian municipal employees including casual workers delved into a 2-day seminar workshop in human resource development.
The move is to enhance employees and workers' roles as civil servants and significant partners in national development and nation-building, in accordance with the town's annual Executive - Legislative Agenda (ELA) as formulated by the Local Performance Team, sources said.
The seminar workshop held on September 25-26, 2008 at Bohol Plaza Resort and Restaurant in Dauis, hoped to enhance work behaviors as mandated in RA 6713 and for employees to fully understand their roles and responsibilities as public servants.
The seminar resource speakers include Eligio Dequino, of the HRMDO of the Provincial Government of Bohol and Mrs. Rosalinda G. Paredes, a private Consultant. (AO IV)
